Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT
The NT Regional Training Hub is committed to strengthening the medical workforce throughout the Northern Territory. Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program) provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. We work alongside Poche SANT focussing on Indigenous leadership capacity development and developing the Indigenous health workforce. All activities are driven by our values which focus on the long-term and short-term needs of the NT community.
About the Role
Based in Alice Springs the Program Coordinator plays a pivotal role within the Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT Regional Training Hub (FRRHNT RTH) team. Working under broad direction and with a high degree of autonomy the coordinator collaborates closely with the Program Manager and Medical Director to support the effective delivery of key Regional Training Hub initiatives.
This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of various programs and activities including oversight of business processes project coordination and strategic partnerships. The Program Coordinator also contributes to the wider professional support team in Alice Springs serving as a central point of contact for operational matters across all programs.
A strong focus is placed on team collaboration and the consistent application of workplace policies and procedures with the coordinator assisting in tasks aligned with the roles key capabilities.
About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
Strong experience in project administration planning implementation monitoring and quality assurance of programs.
Highly effective organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks set priorities meet deadlines and work both independently and within a team.
Cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples particularly in relation to health and social determinants in the NT context.
Understanding of medical workforce distribution challenges and knowledge of generalist and specialist medical training pathways.
