Civil Designer

SUMMARY:

Employee will participate in the design and production of civil engineering plans calculations and construction documents for a variety of infrastructure projects. Assignments will primarily involve general civil wastewater drainage transportation and site development projects. Work will include both field and office-based tasks with the majority of responsibilities performed in an office setting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):

• 2 years of experience in civil design with a focus on general civil wastewater drainage or transportation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Strong knowledge of grading utility layout and stormwater/drainage design.
• Experience in preparing construction plan sets and technical calculations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks across various projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with local and state design standards and permitting requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed design drawings and construction documents for civil infrastructure projects.
• Support design efforts for drainage systems wastewater infrastructure roadways and site development.
• Develop grading plans utility layouts and erosion control plans.
• Coordinate with internal team members and external stakeholders to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Assist in preparing permit submittals and respond to agency comments.
• Ensure plans and designs meet applicable codes standards and project specifications.
