Your work environment
Financial Markets (FM) is the Banks gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of INGs clients with products services and guidance. Optimisation of the global portfolio of assets sits at the centre of the Global Securities Finance franchise.

Your role
The role is a Trader for our Collateral desk in London for Global Securities Finance (GSF). You will join an existing team of 3 traders locally. You will help drive the strategy and vision of the desk working closely with the Global GSF team.

Your key responsibilities

  • Trade the daily flow in Collateral Repo Securities Lending and Money market products for Equities and Fixed income.

  • Align with the credit risk market risk balance sheet and regulatory requirements in London.

  • Collaborate with the Front office support teams

  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders to help develop electronic platform trading and a collateral optimiser.

  • Co-ordinate and liaise with existing client franchise.

Execute key analyses

  • Performs continuing portfolio optimisation of assets held bilaterally and in Tri-Party.

  • Analyses potential trading opportunities and structures across various asset classes.

  • Performs continuing risk analysis.

  • Examines external trends and market information

  • Evaluates regulatory impact and planning for changes.

A trader with 4 years experience. You are a naturally collaborative person who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals. You love to challenge the status quo and are eager to propose creative solutions to problems.

As a Collateral Trader for GSF you will need:

  • Masters degree or equivalent through experience.

  • Minimum 4 years experience

  • Fluency in English

  • Quantitively minded and knowledge of Python or any other coding language preferred

  • Knowledge of Tri-Party Repo trading venues and products is preferred

  • Knowledge of pricing methods / risk analysis desired

  • Demonstrate alertness and ability to respond quickly to changing market conditions and volatility.
