Grants Pass Toyota is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented DMV Title Clerk to join our high-energy business office team. The DMV Title Clerk is responsible for handling all aspects of vehicle title and registration work for new and used vehicles sold at the dealership. This includes preparing and processing title and registration documents in compliance with state DMV regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented organized and experienced in automotive title work preferably in a dealership setting. A positive attitude and willingness to be a team member are essential to this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process all new and used vehicle title and registration paperwork to ensure proper ownership and lien interest as required.
  • Submit legal transfer documentation to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Complete all dealer trade transactions required by the sales department.
  • Process all wholesale deals and monitor wholesale receivables.
  • Complete all paperwork for off-street purchases
  • Maintain accurate record keeping of incoming titles and MSOs.
  • Reconcile schedules related to DMV work and complete end of month accounting reports.
  • Maintain an organized filing system and desk space for vehicle deals and DMV documentation.
  • Stay current on DMV rules regulations and procedural changes.
  • Assist in completion of annual review /audit.
  • Communicate in a way that demonstrates Grants Pass Toyotas Mission Vision and Values in all interactions with customers vendors co-workers and suppliers.
  • Adhere to all company policies procedures and safety standards.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Associates degree in office administration Business Management or related field preferred
  • 2 years of experience in office administration; automotive or dealership experience is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong skills in Excel and overall computer literacy
  • Accounting or Bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Professional personal appearance
  • Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Outstanding communicator both verbally and written
