CanyonVet Canyon Lake is hiring a full-time Customer Service Representative/Receptionist to join their amazing team!
The Veterinary Receptionist is a highly motivated person who loves animals and wants to work closely with them and their owners. They are responsible for providing high quality customer service and support to clients of a veterinary practice. They will assist clients with appointments billing inquiries as well as handling client concerns and complaints in a professional manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone email and in person.
- Schedule appointments
- Assist with the check in and check out process and verify patient information for appointments boarding and procedures.
- Updates team of daily appointments surgeries dentals and drop offs on dry erase board each morning.
- Maintain patient records and client information.
- Create reports and reminders for patients.
- Takes refill requests
- Maintain a clean and organized environment this will include sweeping mopping dusting cleaning bathrooms.
- Create S.O.A.P for sick or injured pets.
- Answer clients inquiries about hospital policies basic pet care questions costs of immunizations and spays/neuters.
- Receives and transmits telephone and fax messages accurately and promptly processes vendor coupons maintains reminder system orders food.
- Prepares health certificates immunization certificates laboratory reports and euthanasia certificates.
- Prepares client invoices and obtains payment after services performed. This includes collecting money and posting payments. If knowledgeable about can discuss fees estimates and financial policies with clients.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience preferably in veterinary or healthcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Basic computer proficiency
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Work requires lifting and carrying records equipment and animals weighing up to 25lbs; requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
