Job Summary:
This Respiratory Therapist position requires floating between units in a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role involves providing respiratory care to neonates collaborating with the healthcare team and adhering to established protocols and ratios. Weekend work is required.

Responsibilities:
- Providing respiratory care to neonates in a Level 3 NICU setting.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitoring patients respiratory status and adjusting treatments as needed.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
- Adhering to established protocols and ratios.
- Participating in unit-based activities and continuing education.
- Floating between units as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Respiratory Therapist license.
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience.
- Proficiency in respiratory care techniques and equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Current BLS certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a Level 3 NICU.
- Advanced certifications in respiratory therapy.
Special Considerations:
- Weekend work is required.
- Floating between units is required.
- On-call is not required.
- 48-hour work schedules are approved on a case-by-case basis.
- Ability to cover a Level 3 NICU is essential.
Scheduling:
- Schedule is per CBA.
- Block schedules are not required.
- Ratios are per RT Matrix.
- Weekend work is required.
