We are seeking a Network Engineer I for a future funded role to provide Network support that requires system level design architecture or enterprise security and security boundaries datacenter virtualization CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure packet capture software TCP/IP protocol stack routing/switching protocols stateful firewalls and L3/L4 access controls.
Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level citizenship is required.
Required Skills:
Cisco IOS CatOS NxOS filter and access control Ciscoworks TACACS ASA FWSM HP Openview Cisco routers Cisco Switches F5/Cisco load balancers Infiniband Juniper FiberChannel (FC) SAN and VPN (IPSEC)
Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers switches load balancers and security devices.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols.
Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols.
Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls and L3 access controls.
Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite.
Able to support on-call requirements.
Able to work in live call environment and utilize remedy and/or other ticketing system to track tasking.
Virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and three (3) years of demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN) architecture monitoring security and protection or five (5) years experience in lieu of degree.
Must have datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers switches firewalls and IPSEC virtual private networks.
The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
