Operate and monitor heavy equipment and mechanical systems at wastewater treatment plants and pump stations including pumps valves mixers and screening systems. Perform cleaning and general operation tasks across assigned treatment plant units and pump stations. Start operate and monitor sludge dewatering equipment (e.g. centrifuges belt filter presses) to ensure efficient sludge handling. Assist in daily plant operation activities including inspection minor troubleshooting and basic preventive maintenance of mechanical systems. Carry out masonry and painting work for structures tanks and buildings within the treatment facility as directed. Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of plant units and work areas. Ensure adherence to health safety and environmental regulations and practices at all times. Report any equipment malfunctions leaks or irregular conditions to the supervisor promptly. Maintain accurate operational records and logs as required. Carry out other tasks assigned. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in wastewater treatment plant operations or similar industrial settings. Experience in operating and maintaining sludge dewatering systems is highly desirable. Prior experience in basic civil works (masonry, painting) is an added advantage. Ability to operate and maintain plant mechanical and hydraulic systems. Familiar with treatment plant processes including pumping, screening, and dewatering. Basic understanding of safety, hygiene, and environmental practices in wastewater facilities. Skilled in using hand and power tools for minor civil tasks.
