Were seeking internal applications for a Youth Specialist to join us in Hervey Bay as part of the Fraser Coast Bail Support team. This is a full-time* maximum-term position through to end of March 2026. If you meet many but not all the requirements you should still speak to us.
* Please note that we are also open to part time (4 days per week) if preferred.
Where you come in:
Reporting to Ryan Montgomery Team Leader NQ Youth Services youll provide case management support to young people on bail.
You will make an impact by:
Provision of quality service delivery
Engagement with young people and families
Stakeholder relationship management
Monitoring and evaluation of program outcomes

You have a passion for assisting young people on bail to reach their full potential by ensuring their voice is central to goal setting with the ultimate goal of redirecting them from the Youth Justice system.
This role requires:
Demonstrated skills and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people young people disengaged with the school system young people in contact with the justice system and those who have experienced trauma
Demonstrated experience in youth work / case management roles
An understanding of complex intergenerational trauma
Strong verbal and written communication skills
An understanding of child protection concerns and commitment to responding safely and effectively
Sound time management and organisational skills and ability to manage and plan own workload
Understanding of child protection concerns and processes
