Job Description
Overview
HMH Hospitals Corporation seeks a Senior Business Analyst for its Edison NJ location.
Responsibilities
Duties: Work within Data & Analytics group to help develop and maintain data and analytics systems to support operations of the entire HMH network. Analyze business processes system integrations and large datasets and design system improvements as needed. Responsible for acting as a liaison between business stakeholders product leadership and the technical team translating business requests and user stories into functional system requirements and technical specifications that aid design development and testing of software and data storage thereby ensuring the team strategy aligns with the overall product vision. Serve as the day-to-day contact for the team on clarification of requirements and drive user stories. Exercise strong decision-making mandate across the team as a proxy to the Product Owners and stay in sync with the Product Owners on priorities and the day-to-day decision making. Work with the technical teams to clarify user requirements and ensure that the teams have everything needed to begin development work. Evaluate how various project teams perform. Ensure that the teams meet targets and deadlines while maintaining a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team. Identify risks in meeting delivery timelines and proactively communicate impediments and ensure timely resolution. Assist the technical team in preparation and execution of test cases that will ensure adequate test coverage on the user story acceptance criteria. Define implement and track performance metrics once a solution enters production as well as prepare and support the teams on product demos.
Qualifications
Requirements: Must possess a Bachelors degree in Business Analytics Information Systems Computer Science or a closely related field plus 3 years of experience as a business analyst data analyst or computer systems analyst or a closely related occupation within the healthcare or health insurance industry. Must have experience with: Gathering business requirements and creating technical specifications documents with feature descriptions and prioritization for health care provider domains; Developing financial models utilizing applied knowledge of agile methodology including leading ceremonies and creating work in Asana or Jira; Reading and interpreting coding languages including SQL and python; Reviewing and analyzing healthcare related datasets such as claims data quality data clinical data financial data to develop projections infer trends and develop recommendations for data visualizations; Developing project documentation including Business Requirements Documents Wireframes Technical Documents Scoping Documents Project Charters and Agile work boards. May work remotely but must work at the Edison NJ location five (5) days per month. Salary range is $130685.25 to $153358.00/yr; full-time; Send resumes to reference # SBA/RS.
