The Opportunity

As the Data Quality Officer you will be responsible for ensuring operational data across our mining systems is accurate consistent and timely.

This role plays a key part in validating and enhancing data captured from site-based activities working closely with key stakeholders to maintain high data standards and enabling reliable reporting across MACA and Thiess projects in WA.

Additionally you will:

  • Validate data against defined set of standards rules or benchmark to support commercial operations and decision making
  • Assist commercial teams with data insights that impact claims revenue reporting and subcontractor management
  • Analyse large datasets to identify patterns inconsistencies and areas for improvement
  • Recommend best practices and solutions to enhance data reliability and support long term planning
  • Provide feedback and training to teams on data entry and management best practices to enhance overall data quality
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and enforce data governance policies that align with the business safety and sustainability goals
  • Support compliance efforts by maintaining data quality processes that meet business and industry standards
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure data is accurate and up to date
  • Build strong working relationships with Superintendents Supervisors and admin teams across WA sites
  • Undertake periodic site visits to strengthen stakeholder engagement uplift data practices and ensure alignment with expectations
  • Provide regional support for escalations relating to data accuracy and timeliness

About You

  • Previous experience working in a mining or site-based environment
  • Strong administrative skills with proven ability to manage multiple data inputs and processes
  • Proficient in the use of business systems and software including Excel Power BI and operational tools such as infoMINE JDE or similar
  • Demonstrated customer service experience with the ability to support a range of stakeholders both onsite and remotely
  • Ability to interpret and work with large datasets to support reporting and decision-making
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical information to a range of audiences
