This isnt your typical frontend role. Youll be a true full-stack product engineer owning features end-to-end. Our team culture is centered on moving fast to drive innovations and values to our users. The role:
- Craft the Gemini Experience with Full-stack Engineering: Design build and deploy new user-facing features from the initial concept to millions of Gemini users. Youll write code for our frontend clients on Android / iOS / Web and our frontend server infrastructure that powers the user experience.
- Collaborate with the Best: Partner closely with Product Managers UX Designers and world-renowned AI researchers to transform cutting-edge model capabilities into intuitive magical product features.
- Build for Scale & Speed: Architect elegant scalable and performant systems. We believe in lightweight processes and fast execution so youll focus on what matters most: shipping high-quality and reliable valuable features to our users.
About you:
Youre a product-minded engineer who is obsessed with the user and thrives on ambiguity. You love the challenge of building end-to-end features across different systems and have a bias for action in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
If you dont have deep experience across all of these stacks dont worry! We will work together as a team to expand your skills. We value passionate builders who are strong in one area (like Android iOS or Web) and eager to grow into a true full-stack role.
Required Skills & Experiences:
- BS MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent industry experience.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Kotlin Swift Java Objective-C or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Experience with A/B testing or experimentation frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience building and shipping applications on Android iOS or modern Web platforms.
- Experience developing and deploying user-facing applications powered by LLMs.
- A data-driven mindset with experience using metrics and user logging to inform product decisions.
- Familiarity with Google-specific tools like Mendel experimentation or RASTA.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $141000 - $202000 bonus equity benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
