Job Description
Hohman Plating a division of Novaria Group is a leading service provider for plated coatings. We serve a diversified customer base including aerospace medical large equipment and business since 1918 we are seeking long-term employees to join our team. SUMMARY OF JOB
Responsible for technical floor support plater training gatekeeping test/first article runs plan updates reject analysis time studies and process troubleshooting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide guidance support leadership and act as a resource to the internal team members at Hohman.
- Perform responsibilities referenced in the Quality Manual and Quality Systems procedures
- Improve production processes and methods for cost-reduction quality improvement and efficiency
- Lead organize and complete planned corrective actions
- Develop and / or implement test plans procedures and data gathering methods
- Design experiments for process refinement (ex. hull cells pilot scale testing bath titrations)
- Training of new operators; both on the line and in classroom settings.
- Utilize basic problem solving skills to identify and differentiate critical and non-critical issues. Determine short-term containment and corrective action to deliver parts to customers on time.
- Capable of making quick decisive and well thought out decisions
- Able to create and scope out project ideas with little to no guidance. When applicable oversee the cost effective safe and timely completion of those projects.
- Develop process plans which ensure new parts meet the specifications and customer requirements successfully. Target potential pitfalls / failure modes of the process and work with production and the customer to achieve and maintain the level of quality that is expected.
- May plate production parts to support process development and/or improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years related experience & training
- Results-oriented with process ownership commitment and ability to prioritize
- Demonstrated proficiency with problem solving tools: 5 Whys Is / Is Not Pareto Diagrams carrying out of Experiments participate in the development of FMEAs
- Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with specifications prints and other technical documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to dangerous chemicals including exposure to fumes or airborne particles below OSHA permissible limits. Frequently exposed to high heat and humid conditions. Employee will be frequently exposed to loud sounds below the OSHA permissible limits.
