KBR is seeking a skilledElectrical Engineerto support the design development integration and sustainment of cutting-edgeCUAS/CuXStechnologies for Navy and defense applications inSt. Inigoes MD. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that detect track and neutralize aerial threats integrating advanced electronics and RF solutions into broader security infrastructures.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide electrical engineering expertise in the design development integration and lifecycle support of CUAS solutions.
- Design and develop electronic systems used to detect track jam or neutralize UAS threats including RF power distribution signal processing and control circuitry.
- Analyze system performance troubleshoot issues and implement improvements to optimize reliability and effectiveness.
- Integrate electrical components with broader CUAS and security infrastructure including communications and control networks.
- Support testing maintenance and sustainment activities across all phases of the system lifecycle.
- Evaluate select and apply standard engineering techniques and tools using sound judgment to adapt methods as needed.
- Contribute to the design and documentation of complex systems and support integration and validation efforts for larger projects.
Basic Qualifications:
Education: BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited US College.
Experience: 2 years of experience supporting DoD or the US Navy.
Citizenship & Clearance: US have an active/current Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting R&D portfolios for C-UAS/CuXS systems/capabilities
- Familiarity with RF systems jamming technologies power electronics and embedded control systems.
- Experience collaborating with military personnel government civilians and contractor teams.
Travel: Up to 40%.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.
Compensation: $75000-$ salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates location knowledge skills abilities and/or experience contract affordability and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses commissions or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus relocation benefits short-term incentives long-term incentives or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
