Job Description
Job Title: Sr. IT Project Manager (Banking/Financial)
Location: Hybrid Role (2-3 Days Onsite/week) in Jacksonville FL
Duration: 6-12 Months Contract
Interview process: Two video rounds.
Work Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card Only.
Candidate MUST be:
- Local & within the commutable distance.
- Sharp very well spoken and able to make presentations to Bank Executives.

- Go where needed type of team dynamic
- He looks for PMs that are comfortable working with a number of different lines of business and priorities.
- Looking for someone that can understand components of data related and infrastructure related projects.
- Banking/financial experience is required and a solid PM that has the core PM skills and interpersonal skills is also important.
The focus of projects constantly shifts but 2 areas mentioned that would be good if someone had experience would be *Fraud related projects and on-boarding 3rd party SaaS applications*
Hybrid Schedule - the bank requires 4 days a week but this team is flexible (2-3 days) But overall need someone that doesnt have a problem being onsite.
Job description:
The IT Program Governance project management team consists of 8 Project Managers. Project Managers primarily work independently of each other with their respective project teams.
Top 3 Must-Haves:
- Core project management skill set. Be able to build a plan and manage to the plan. Know the project phases and inputs and outputs.
- Leadership skills. Be able to position yourself as the central point of contact and coordination for the project.
- Concise and accurate communication
Top 3 Nice-To-Haves
- Familiarity with Smartsheet
- Experience with implementation of vendor-hosted solutions.
What would a day in the life of this role look like
Core project management activities include developing and maintaining the project plan/schedule hosting meetings and taking/distributing notes and action items maintaining project governance adherence managing risks and issues and facilitating collaboration and communication with the project team and stakeholders.
What interaction level with this role have the team members and hiring manager
This role will work closely with their project teams and project stakeholders.
What would you say is the top priority for the worker over the first few weeks/months
Learn about assigned project(s) how project work is executed at the Bank (IT Governance) get to know the project team and stakeholders and begin building a plan of action.
What do you foresee being the biggest challenge in this role
Keeping the project team aligned to the plan and proactively identifying and mitigating project risks and issues.
