Job Description

Change Management Specialist

As a Change Management Specialist for a Randstad client in the DC area you will be a key player in ensuring the successful and structured evolution of our IT services. You will work within the Service Management function to align technology solutions and processes with the organizations strategic goals. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of ITIL principles who can evaluate change requests facilitate critical operational meetings and drive continuous improvement across change release and configuration management disciplines. You will serve as a vital link between IT and business partners ensuring all changes are thoroughly reviewed approved and implemented with minimal risk and maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Govern critical Service Management disciplines including Change Release and Configuration Management.

  • Facilitate daily operations meetings weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and Post-Implementation Reviews (PIRs).

  • Review change requests to ensure they are complete accurate and compliant with established policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to secure necessary approvals and develop mitigation plans for potential risks.

  • Analyze the impact of proposed changes verify the quality of pre- and post-implementation requirements and validate key implementation milestones.

  • Establish and maintain liaison relationships with business partners and IT departments to provide effective process solutions.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to ensure process efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Participate in planning sessions for new projects and technologies to implement process improvements.

  • Support and participate in formal reporting related to IT Operations and analyze the relationship between incidents and implemented changes.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals knowledge databases and training materials.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in IT Service Management with a strong focus on Change and Release Management.

  • ITIL v3 or v4 certification is required with a preference for Practitioner or Intermediate certification in Release and Control or Change Configuration and Release.

  • Proven experience with the ServiceNow platform including creating reports dashboards and KPIs.

  • Excellent facilitation communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train users on process changes.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced high-stress environment.

  • Working knowledge of IT operations and a comprehensive understanding of how Change Management interfaces with other ITIL processes such as Incident Problem and Request Management.

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field; a Masters degree is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean and CoBiT methodologies is a plus.
