Job Description
Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Washington DC 20007
Schedule: Full-Time 5/8 Schedule (Five 8-hour shifts/week)
Pay Rate:

3 years experience: $45.67/hr

2 years experience: $44.78/hr

1 year experience: $43.91/hr
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our oncology care team in Washington DC. The therapist will be responsible for delivering prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with physician instructions and departmental protocols ensuring patient safety comfort and accuracy of treatment delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Administer accurate radiation treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist

Operate linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment

Verify treatment plans and perform quality assurance (QA) checks

Document treatment procedures and patient responses in medical records

Monitor patients physical and emotional well-being during treatment

Maintain radiation safety protocols and assist with machine QA under physicist supervision

Communicate effectively with patients families and interdisciplinary staff
Minimum Qualifications

Education:
-
ARRT Certification in Radiologic Technology Required

B.S. in Radiation Technology Preferred

Certifications:

ARRT (Radiation Therapy) Required

CPR/BLS Certification Required

Texas Medical Board MRT License Note: May not apply in DC unless dual-licensed; confirm state requirements
