You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused Service Engineer to manage installation maintenance and troubleshooting of e-rickshaw battery systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in battery technology (preferably lithium-ion and lead-acid) field servicing and customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Commissioning:
Install and test new e-rickshaw batteries at customer sites or dealerships.
Ensure proper battery fitment connection and compatibility with vehicle systems.
Maintenance & Repair:
Diagnose and repair battery issues such as charging faults voltage drops cell failures or BMS (Battery Management System) errors.
Perform routine service and preventive maintenance checks.
Replace faulty components or batteries when needed.
Technical Support:
Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers and dealers.
Train customers and local mechanics on proper usage maintenance and safety guidelines.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain service logs warranty claim records and failure analysis reports.
Coordinate with the R&D or Quality team for recurring issues or product improvements.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build trust and rapport with e-rickshaw owners fleet operators and dealers.
Ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of complaints.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma/ITI/ in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
1 3 years of experience in servicing batteries or electric vehicle components.
Good understanding of battery technology especially lithium-ion and lead-acid systems.
Familiarity with battery chargers BMS wiring harnesses and diagnostic tools.
Basic knowledge of vehicle electrical systems is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field.
Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in the EV industry or with two/three-wheeler electric vehicles.
Customer-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
Ability to manage spare parts and maintain service inventory.
