Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager is directly responsible for the daily operations of the warehouse ensuring efficient receipt storage and dispatch of materials and products. Plan and establish work schedules assignments and workflows to meet production and delivery goals. Interpret company policies and procedures for workers and ensure inventory accuracy and workplace safety.
Duties/Responsibilities.
Oversee and manage the receiving storage shipping and distribution of materials supplies and finished goods.
Assign tasks to warehouse staff and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of daily operations.
Maintain inventory accuracy by coordinating regular cycle counts and resolving discrepancies.
Monitor and manage warehouse equipment and tools ensuring proper maintenance and safe operation.
Coordinate small item shipments including scheduling packaging and ensuring adherence to shipping requirements.
Ensure adherence to safety procedures and protocols and train employees on the proper use of equipment and materials handling techniques.
Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure cleanliness organization and safety.
Communicate with other departments to coordinate materials flow and address any logistical challenges.
Expected to function as a hands-on leader assisting with warehouse and shipping operations when needed.
Any other duty as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Will oversee warehouse personnel on a day-to-day basis providing support leadership and direction. Responsible for training and defining processes within the department.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
Ability to operate and maintain warehouse equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and scanning systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient inventory management.
Proficiency in basic computer systems and software including Microsoft Office (Word Excel) and inventory management systems (WMS preferred).
Ability to lead and motivate a team fostering open communication and identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
Excellent communication skills reading writing and verbal English for efficient communication of tasks procedures and reporting.
Use good judgment and decision-making skills to resolve problems and address employee concerns. desired.
Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor s degree or higher in business or related preferred.
A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
One (1) to three (3) years of supervisory experience may be required.
Two (2) to five (5) years of combination of education and experience in a similar role.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
