Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Automation Engineer to design develop and implement automated systems and processes in manufacturing or industrial environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in PLC programming SCADA systems robotics and control systems. This role involves working closely with the production maintenance and engineering teams to improve efficiency reduce downtime and enhance process reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop automation solutions to optimize industrial and manufacturing processes.
Program and configure PLCs (Siemens Allen-Bradley etc.) and SCADA/HMI systems.
Troubleshoot test and validate automated systems and control panels.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements and implement automation strategies.
Support system integration commissioning and startup activities at client or plant sites.
Perform root cause analysis and continuous improvement for automation-related issues.
Create and maintain technical documentation including user manuals electrical diagrams and software backups.
Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with safety quality and environmental standards.
Train operators and maintenance staff on automation systems and best practices.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend upgrades where necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronic / Automation Engineering.
2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and control systems.

Skills Required:

Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens Allen Bradley Mitsubishi etc.)
Experience with SCADA/HMI platforms (Wonder ware WinCC Ignition etc.)
Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Mod bus Probus Ethernet/IP).
Familiarity with sensors actuators and machine safety systems.
Understanding of electrical panel design and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of robotics servo drives VFDs and motion control is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and control schematics.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel for site installations or support.
