We are seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Instrument Engineer to join our client s engineering and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design selection installation calibration and maintenance of field instrumentation and control systems. The role requires strong analytical abilities sound engineering judgment and familiarity with industrial standards and safety protocols.
Design and develop instrumentation systems for process automation and control.
Specify and select appropriate instruments (e.g. pressure temperature flow level sensors) based on project requirements.
Prepare instrument datasheets loop diagrams and control panel designs.
Conduct field surveys and ensure proper installation and commissioning of instruments.
Perform calibration troubleshooting and maintenance of instruments and control systems.
Ensure compliance with international standards such as ISA IEC and ANSI.
Assist in the development of PLC/DCS logic and HMI configurations in coordination with control engineers.
Review and approve vendor drawings datasheets and equipment specifications.
Coordinate with procurement construction and quality teams to ensure timely project execution.
Support safety reliability and performance analysis of instrumentation systems.
Bachelor s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation / or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in instrumentation engineering in industries such as oil & gas petrochemical power or manufacturing.
Proficiency in using engineering design software such as SPI (INtools) AutoCAD or similar tools.
Strong knowledge of process instrumentation control systems and communication protocols (HART Foundation Field bus Probus).
Familiarity with hazardous area classification and ATEX/IECEx compliance.
Ability to interpret P&IDs control narratives and loop diagrams.
Sound troubleshooting skills in process instrumentation.
Excellent communication team coordination and project documentation skills.
