Job Description
Compass Government Solutions is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to provide services to Optimize the Human Weapon System (OHWS) program at Nellis AFB NV.
As a key member of the Optimizing the Human Weapon System (OHWS) program the Physical Therapist plays a critical role in sustaining the health readiness and performance of U.S. Air Force fighter aircrew. Embedded within operational squadrons the PT addresses flight-related musculoskeletal injuriesparticularly neck and back pain caused by high-G environmentsand develops individualized injury prevention rehabilitation and performance optimization plans. By providing direct care ergonomic education and recovery strategies the PT helps mitigate mission-impacting injuries reduces downtime and enhances aircrew longevity. This role is essential to ensuring that pilots remain physically capable of meeting the intense demands of aerial combat and mission execution.
JOB DUTIES:
- Conduct MSK Evaluations and Interventions.
- Design Implement and monitor individualized injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.
- Order Imaging Labs and Specialist consultations as needed.
- Documentation of work performed in approved electronic record systems.
- Educate Aircrew and leadership on injury prevention ergonomics and recovery strategies.
- Comply with all DHA DoD and MTF protocols.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Doctor of Physical Therapy from CAPTE-accredited program.
- 5 years experience as a PT in Collegiate Professional Olympic Tactical (military) Aerospace industry or similar environment supporting man-machine high-performance. Experience must include recency within the last 2 years.
- Current healthcare provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Current (or ability to obtain and maintain) Secret security clearance (T3 background investigation). Please visit the following link for more information: least one of the following:
- ABPTS OCS or SCS certification; or
- Orthopedic or Sports residency / Fellowship Trained; or Advanced Dry Needling Certification (Level 2) and Orthopedic Manual Therapy (OMT) Certification.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
