Job Summary
The Specialist for the federally funded School-Based Mental Health (SBMH) Grant plays a critical role in expanding supporting and sustaining a high-quality credentialed mental health workforce across K12 schools in the district. This position will lead the recruitment and retention of school-based mental health professionals ensure credentialing compliance facilitate ongoing training manage grant operations and cultivate partnerships that enhance mental health services and promote equitable access for all students while supporting pathways for recruitment and retention of high quality staff across the district.
Essential Functions
submits and makes travel arrangements for comprehensive recruitment plan
all aspects of grant implementation including budgeting procurement stipend disbursement and contract compliance.
with leading annual recruitment of 25 credentialed mental health professionals totaling 125 hires over five years.
and submit mid-year and annual reports to the state detailing expenditures outcomes and progress toward goals.
and implement incentive packages including relocation stipends and tiered training bonuses.
retention benchmarks with a goal of maintaining at least 75% of new hires for three years.
all hires meet Florida Department of Education credentialing requirements for school counselors psychologists social workers and licensed therapists.
relationships with external evaluators and coordinate monthly data reviews using both qualitative and quantitative performance metrics.
9.Manage two professional development pathways: (1) credentialing support for pre-service professionals and (2) capacity-building for in-service staff.

Qualifications
Education: Masters degree from an accredited college or university. Graduate course work in school administration or a mental health field (school counseling social work psychology) preferred.
Experience: 5 years of full-time school-based instructional experience required.
Certifications & Licenses: Florida Department of Education certification.
