Ironworker Foreman
Location: Alexandria Louisiana

Position Summary:
Location: Alexandria Louisiana
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Ironworker Foreman to lead a crew on an industrial construction and steel erection project. The Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily field operations maintaining safety standards coordinating with project management and ensuring that structural steel and metal componenets are installed accurately and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate ironworker crew activites on-site
- Read and intrepret structural drawings blueprints and field sketches
- Plan and lay out work to meet project timelines and specifications
- Ensure proper rigging welding bolting and steel erection techniques are followed
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce jobsite safety standards
- Communicate with project managers engineers and inspectors
- Monitor crew productivity and provide training or mentorship as needed
- Manage material handling deliveries and inventory on-site
- Ensure all work is completed to code and quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of work performed timesheets and incident reports
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years ironworking experience with 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role
- Strong knowledge of rigging structural steel erection welding and bolting practices
- Must be proficient in reading blueprint and isometric drawings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills required.
- Ability to manage a crew effectively under tight deadlines
- OSHA 30
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements listed below in harsh and/or stressful conditions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
- Ability to stand (for extended periods of time) walk stoop kneel squat crawl and twist.
- Ability to sit balance and climb ladders scaffolds and other objects.
- Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift in all weather and temperature extremes.
