The Acute Inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Unit (Meyer 7)is an 18-bedadult inpatient unitrequiring inpatient care Physical Occupational or Speech Therapy services. Our team of experts specialize in rehabilitation care for amputation spinal cord injury and dysfunction complex medical conditions brain injury and illness musculoskeletal injury and stroke.A Neuropsychologist is available as part of the care team to provide support to the patient family and staff. You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team in developing an inpatient and discharge care plan.

Requirements:

  • BSN/MSNfrom an accredited nursing programrequired.
  • Active Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) or Compact State Registered Nursing license is required.
  • CPR/BLScertification required:AHA Red Cross or Military Training Network accepted.
  • Must haveat least 3 yearsof Acute CareRegistered Nursing work experience.
  • Ability to lead others assist in development & implementation of procedures for the unit use principles of conflict resolution recommend resource utilization and implement performance management of staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provideevidence-based care based on the nursing process policies procedures and protocols of the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
  • Mentorand manageothers to promote quality safety and excellence in care.
  • Workcollaboratively with and provides leadership for a multidisciplinary health care team to optimize team performance.
  • Promote and identifyquality improvement initiatives to improve safety.
  • Completeall identified competencies and annual requirements for patient population unit department and institution.
  • Assumeunit management functions as identified by the Assistant Manager/Nurse Manager.
  • Consistently demonstrates organizations core values.

Salary Range: Minimum46.57per hour - Maximum72.18per will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
