A Day in the Life

As a Sr Project Management Specialist within the Released Product Management (RPM) division you will be steering the course to meet business needs while upholding design intent in the Core Surgical Innovations Business Unit. This pivotal role will see you harmonizing and coordinating various initiatives within the RPM close collaboration with Project Management Released Product Engineering Research & Development Quality Operations and other cross-functional domains you will drive the delivery of projects to our valued patients and customers.

This is an onsite role in Lafayette CO.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products processes and therapies.
  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning project team and line management.
  • Manages the development and implementation process of a companys products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers line managers and clients.
  • Gathers requirements works on requirements planning requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of projects key stakeholders.
  • Communicates with stakeholders obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.

Must Have

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

  • 2 years of experience working in a cross-functional matrixed organization.

  • 2 years leading projects of increasing complexity

  • Proven ability to form strong relationships with key cross-functional partners


Nice to Have:

  • 2 years leading stakeholder communications across various peer and leadership levels of an organization

  • Experience with advanced scheduling and resource management tools like Microsoft Project and/or Resource First/PDWare

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$112000.00 - $168000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20 hours per week: Health Dental and vision insuranceHealth Savings AccountHealthcare Flexible Spending AccountLife insurance Long-term disability leaveDependent daycare spending accountTuition assistance/reimbursement andSimple Steps (global well-being program).
