Description

Downer Group is seeking a proactive and motivated Logistics Supervisor to join our Support Services team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. This is a vital role ensuring smooth logistics and distribution operations across a fast-paced high-impact environment.

About the role:

Youll oversee a team responsible for managing inventory freight mail linen and equipment movementsupporting the hospitals mission to provide outstanding patient care. This is a full-time opportunity working a Monday - Friday 0800 - 1600 schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day operations of warehouse linen store mailroom and internal logistics ensuring smooth and timely service delivery
Lead coach and develop team members managing performance and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement
Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) recommending improvements and corrective actions when needed
Coordinate with internal departments and external service providers (e.g. couriers) ensuring efficient and professional communication
Ensure compliance with health safety quality assurance and infection control standards across all logistics activities

About you:

Skills and Personal Attributes:

Previous supervisory experience in logistics warehousing or healthcare (preferred but not essential)
Strong leadership communication and coaching skills with the ability to build team morale and drive performance
Solid understanding of safe manual handling practices infection control and workplace health and safety requirements
High level of initiative reliability and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a busy environment
Positive attitude toward team collaboration quality improvement and delivering outstanding service to internal stakeholders
