You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Bibliographic Services Librarian serves as an expert resource for cataloging and technical services-related issues for library staff throughout the state. This professional position oversees the quality of the statewide consortiums shared bibliographic database by monitoring data entry resolving issues with cataloging and serials records creating original records creating and maintaining related documentation and training materials and by managing the creation and use of authorized headings. This position is also responsible for assisting library staff throughout the state with issues related to the cataloging serials and acquisitions modules in the integrated library system. The bibliographic services librarian identifies training needs designs and implements training curriculum and creates related support materials. The incumbent proactively researches and recommends technical solutions related to the quality and integrity of the bibliographic database and manages projects related to data loads synchronization with third-party systems and cleanup.

PREFERENCES/*AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Preference will be given to applicants with a Master of Library Science (MLS) Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) or an equivalent degree.
Preference will be given to applicants with two years of experience supporting an integrated library system preferably SirsiDynix Symphony and related library software and hardware.
The successful applicant must have a valid drivers license.
