Job Description
ICF is looking for an on-call Document Design and Formatting Specialist to assist in the operations of its global survey research programs which provide technical assistance to low- and middle-income countries to implement multipurpose surveys and build capacity in the use and analysis of the data collected.
This part-time remote position is located at our Metro-accessible Rockville office.
As a Document Design and Formatting Specialist you will support the development of demographic and health survey reports tables and related dissemination and other materials for both digital and paper publication. You will contribute to the development of innovative accurate timely and high-quality products and services typically working on multiple projects with all levels of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of document production tasks including:
Formatting documents in Word
Using design software for graphics and report covers
Managing and formatting complex tables for publication
Using Adobe software to create and compile PDF files and manage large documents
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in library science communications graphic design or social science
5 years of professional experience formatting documents in Microsoft software
Experience with Adobe software for creating and managing PDF documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with XML and/or HTML and document production software strongly preferred.
Possess a general understanding of 508-compliance requirements.
Experience with EndNote or reference management software.
Professional Skills:
Ability to coordinate project tasks including planning implementation and quality assurance.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multi-task and work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position including but not limited to relevant work experience skills certifications and competencies that align to the specified role geographic location education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
