Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing quality inspections in both laboratory and manufacturing environments. Work includes testing raw materials in-process items and finished goods using tools like HPLC and GC following ISO FDA QSR and STERIS policies. With supervision you may also assist in failure investigations. This role operates in areas that can be loud and fast-paced with conveyor belts forklifts and production equipment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and may be provided to ensure safety.
Shift: 6am - 2:30pm
*occasionaly Saturdays every few weeks on a volunteer basis
Pay Range: $22-24hr
Location: Plymouth MN
What Youll Do:
- Decontaminate clean and sterilize the glassware and other containers.
- Monitor and maintain of laboratory equipment including calibration.
- Perform routine media product and raw material testing of samples.
- Prepare reagents standard solutions equipment for use etc.
- Recognize and communicate unexpected results in a timely manner and completed Out of Specification forms (OOS) Non-conformance Reports (NCR) and Incoming
- Rejection Forms (IRs) for nonconforming or rejected materials
- Write and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) under supervisors direction using Quality software to change submit and review documents
- Participate in Investigations (complaints failure calibrations equipment etc.)
- Make recommendations on improvements to test methods and procedures
- Make decisions on experimental steps and data analysis within defined parameters and guidelines
- Recognize and communicate unexpected experimental results interpret data with direction
Skills Abilities and Experience Needed:
Required:
- Bachelors Degree OR Associates 4yrs of experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- Ability to make informed decisions during testing and data analysis suggest improvements to methods and procedures and recognize and communicate unexpected results with guidance
- Ability to adhere to safety guidelines of both lab and manufacturing floor
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry Bio-Chemistry or related fields
- Experience using HPLC FTIR A.A. Viscometer etc.
- Previous experience working in chemistry lab and/or manufacturing setting
- Work in GMP environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to make decisions independtly
- Expereince working in safety sensitive roles

- Physical Demands:
- This position requires that work be performed in warehouse office and controlled environment areas.
- Individual must be able to work indoors in high temperatures/humidity especially during the summer months.
- This position may involve exposure to moving machinery lift trucks and hazardous substances in the warehouse area.
- Individuals must be able to walk stand reach both above and below shoulder height and pull push or lift up to 50 pounds
- Occasional bending stooping and crouching is required.
- This position requires frequent repetitive movement of both hands (firm or fine grasping) and good hearing vision and color distinction.

Pay range for this opportunity is $22 - $ position is eligible forbonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors including but not limited to local labor market costs years of relevant experience education professional certifications foreign language fluency etc.
