Job Description
The primary scope of work will be to design and develop robust prototypes product architectures and evaluate through physical tests simulated events and human studies. To complete these tests and to inform product design you will collaborate with teams like Industrial Design Human Factors Human Engineering Soft Goods Design validation Materials and more. - Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 years of experience with applied biomechanics. Key experience includes prosthetics helmets crash automotive safety orthopedic implants or similar
- You operate by first principles and are motivated by improving human outcomes
- 3 years of hands-on detailed product design experience
- 3 years in 3D CAD (any modeling package)
- Creative problem solver with experience in failure analysis root cause investigation and DOE creation
- Experience integrating dynamic and/or non-linear FEM into design
- Experience with structural optimization
- Deep knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication teamwork cross-functional engagement and strong presentation skills
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
- Experience with human physiology and response to impact stimuli
- Master of Science and/or PhD/MS in Biomechanics / Biomedical Engineering
- Experience designing a wearable device from concept to ship
- Strong proficiency in Siemens NX components assemblies and drawings
At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147400 and $272100 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
