Job Description

Mid-Level Incident Response Specialist

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Incident Response Specialist to join the team in Herndon VA; Hazelwood MO; Huntington Beach CA; or Mesa AZ.

This individual will take on a leadership role in guiding and supporting analysts through all phases of incident response activities ensuring timely and effective resolution of security events. Acting as a key escalation point they will provide expert assistance and conduct thorough reviews of investigations conducted by less experienced analysts. They will manage complex incident response tasks involving non-standard issues that fall outside established procedures demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.

Additionally this role includes training and mentoring new analysts to develop their expertise and independence aligning with our commitment to operational excellence and cybersecurity resilience.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs incident response activities across broad technology profiles or multiple systems

  • Interrogates industry sources and evaluates incident indicators

  • Determines nature mechanisms scope and location of the incident

  • Collects and preserves evidence identifies intrusion or incident path and method

  • Isolates blocks or removes threat access

  • Performs event correlation and malware analysis

  • Drafts incident/investigation reports and makes recommendations for future process enhancements

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years of experience with network security related to malware analysis monitoring and log event correlation

  • 3 years of experience with Incident Response

  • 3 years of experience with cloud-platform technologies (AWS Azure GCP)

  • Willing to work in a hybrid 24/7 Security Operations Center team

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in leading a diverse cross-site hybrid 24/7 Security Operations Center team

  • Effective time management communication and organizational skills

  • Effective technical writing presentation development facilitation and organizational skills
