The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in themechanical maintenance and repair of Five Flags Civic Centerbuildingsfacilitiesand fixtures.This positionperformsroutine tasks anddutiesincludingbutnotlimited to carpentry masonry electrical welding plumbing heating air conditioningand mechanical repair work.

This role pays an hourly rate of $26.00-$30.00

TheFive Flags Civic Centeris located in downtown Dubuque. The arena has a capacity of 4500 guests and has the ability to transform for an occasion from concerts and sports tournaments to banquets and general sessions. The theater is a National Historic Landmark that seats 711 guests and Bijou Room is a black box theater with a capacity of 135 guests.

• Operatemaintainand repair a variety of mechanical tools and equipment.Read andinterpret sketches diagrams and blueprints and perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain and repair of facilities and buildings including carpentry masonry electrical welding plumbing heating air conditioning and mechanical work.
• Installelectricalpowerinternetandavarietyofotherneedsasrequestedduringshowsetupandevent.
• Install adjustrepairand inspect heating ventilation and air conditioning equipment including forced air furnaces boilers water pumps chillers air conditioning units exhaust fans air filters compressors cooling towers and heat exchangers.
• Installrepairand replace electrical lighting systems plumbing fixtures including sinks faucets and pipes light bulbsballastsand lights; clear any obstructionsfromwater and sewerlines.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Assoiates in Mechanics ot Trade Certificatin preferred.
• Vaid Drivers License required.
• Minimum 2 years mechanical repair experience.
• Ability toestablishandmaintainrelationshipswithinternalandexternalcontacts.
• MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK WEEKENDS NIGHTS AND HOLIDAYS.
