Job Description
Medivet Redbourn is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Youll be working alongside a close-knit team of two Vets two RVNs one SVN several PCAs two Client Care Assistants and of course our beloved practice cat.
Our Redbourn clinic is fully equipped with digital x-ray in-house laboratory facilities a dedicated prep area and a modern operating theatre. Youll enjoy a varied and stimulating caseload in a supportive and friendly environment.
For advanced imaging complex surgeries and overnight care we work closely with our 24-hour hospital in Watford to ensure every patient receives the highest standard of treatment.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours over 5 days plus weekends on a 1 in 6 rota based at Medivet Watford.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:
Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
Support with surgeries and procedures completing all pre and post procedure activity.
Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
Deliver patient monitoring and care.
Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
Dispense and check medication.
Deliver professional excellence complying with all regulatory practice and operational standards.
Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience
RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
Experience of supporting Nurse consults with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
