Scope of Work
The Infusion Clinical Nurse under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family center care principles. Under the direct supervision of the Nursing leader and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team the Registered Nurse uses clinical judgment skills to access and implement the treatment plan for patients. The RN assesses monitors detects plans and takes appropriate action to prevent physiological complications associated with specific health problems and/or medical treatment.
Qualifications
Required Associates Degree Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associates degree or equivalent.
Required Bachelors Degree B.S.N. or M.S.N. or DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years required. This is effective April 18 2023.
1 year of relevant experience acute care emergency or intensive care nursing Preferred
LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
LIC-Drivers License - STATEMI State of Michigan Home Infusion Upon Hire required
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
CRT-Chemotherapy Biotherapy - ONCC Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Adult Infusion 1 Year required Or
CRT-Chemotherapy Biotherapy - ONS Oncology Nursing Society Adult Infusion 1 Year
CRT-Oncology Certified Nurse - ONCC Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Upon Hire preferred
