Structural Analysis Engineer (Structural Analysis)

OKC BGS (Boeing Global Services) is hiring for Senior- Stress Analysis Engineer to support Boeing Global Services for the Air Vehicle Analysis located in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. Primary platforms include KC-135 KC-46 KC-767 E-6.


As a Senior Structures Analysis Engineer you possess a subject matter expert understanding of airplane structural analysis methods and tools for both metallic and/or composite structures. You will ensure the airplane has sufficient strength to endure all conditions encountered during its operational life. The analyst also ensures the airplane structure meets all other design requirements including fail-safety durability and damage tolerance where applicable. You are an industry expert in Finite Element Modeling particularly focusing on FEM development manipulation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design.
  • Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the products environment.
  • Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment characteristics and performance.
  • Develops test plans and configurations supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
  • Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelors degree in one of the following engineering disciplines: Mechanical Aerospace Aeronautical Civil or Structural Engineering degrees.
  • 10 years related work experience in stress analysis.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • KC-135 FEM development experience
  • 15 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS Abaqus NASTRAN or HyperMesh).
  • ABET-accredited or equivalent engineering degree
  • Experience with Fatigue or Durability Analysis.
  • Experience with Composite Analysis
  • Experience in aerospace stress analysis.

This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug testing.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
