As our EHS & Manufacturing Engineer Technician you will be performing a dual-function role responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance workplace safety and engineering support within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. You will have ownership of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) you will support Manufacturing Engineering and lastly you will also have ownership of maintenance functions that support production efficiency equipment reliability and continuous improvement. This role is primarily onsite in a manufacturing environment. Regular floor presence is expected. Occasional lifting walking and off-shift support may be required for key maintenance or project activities.

Environmental Health & Safety role responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with OSHA EPA FDA ISO 13485 and company-specific EHS standards.
Develop implement and maintain EHS programs and procedures to identify evaluate and control hazards.
Conduct routine safety inspections incident investigations and root cause analyses with corrective actions.
Deliver training programs related to workplace safety emergency response and regulatory compliance.
Monitor and track EHS performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Promote a safety-first culture through coaching engagement and visibility on the production floor.
Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance responsibilities:
Provide engineering support for daily production activities including process troubleshooting.
Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ownership of maintenance functions including but not limited to:
Preventive maintenance activities
Managing spare parts and equipment reliability
Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues
Documenting maintenance activities in compliance with cGMP.
Assist with the design development and improvement of production equipment tools and facility layouts.
Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable regulations including FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485.
What you need:
Required:
High School Diploma and 3 years relevant experience OR A Bachelors degree
1 year of experience either in EHS or Manufacturing Engineering is needed for a successful candidate.
Prior experience creating and delivering presentations in PowerPoint.
Preferred:
2-year technical degree with relevant experience or Bachelors degree in Safety Environmental Engineering or related field
Knowledge of EHS regulations and manufacturing safety best practices
Strong mechanical and hands-on problem-solving skills
Familiarity with FDA regulations ISO 13485 and cGMP
Experience with maintenance/quality systems a plus
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is a bonus
