BASIC FUNCTION:
TheFood Services Worker Iassists in the preparation of food; cleans washes and maintains cafeteria utensils machines equipment and work spaces.

VACANCY / POSITION SPECIFICS:
- Working Location:Various locations throughout the San Diego Unified School District for the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
- The District covers a large portion of San Diego County.Refer to theDistrict Area Map at thisLinkand make sure to identify any and all specific area(s) you are interested in working in. - Work Schedule: 10months per year / 3.5hours per day

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Any combination of training experience and/or education equivalent to graduation from high school.
NOTE: Your related education and experience must be clearly represented in the work history and education section of your application.
Licenses and Other Requirements:
Possession of a valid California drivers license with a safe driving record may be required for designated positions which are assigned to prepare transport and serve food from a mobile food preparation vehicle.
Individuals employed in this job class must be able to qualify for a Food Handler Training Certificate/card or a Food Service Manager Training Certificate as appropriate for this job class by successfully completing the specified food service sanitation-training course.

Examination Process
The examination process includes an application screening and evaluation based on the applicants education work history and responses to theapplication questions. Onlyapplicantswhose application packet demonstrates a combined education and experience which meets the minimum requirements for the position will be considered qualified andadvance in the process. Somepositions requireapplicants to pass additional components which may include one or more of the following: amultiple-choice oral written or performance exam specific to the position.
