Central to our mission are the core virtues and founding principles of American culture as expressed in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Overview:Mystic Valley is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our K8 this role you will deliver direct and indirect instructional services to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans ensuring academic growth and personal success within a supportive structured Responsibilities:Provide targeted instructional support aligned with IEP and 504 Plan research-based multisensory strategies to promote cognitive academic and language clear measurable learning objectives and monitor student progress across academic and behavioral as case manager for students on your caseload including the coordination and facilitation of IEP accurate and timely documentation including service logs lesson plans and progress regularly with general education teachers service providers and families to ensure cohesive a positive classroom environment through effective behavioral management and proactive standardized testing accommodations and ensure compliance with all state and federal to curriculum planning data review meetings and professional learning additional duties as needed such as student supervision and classroom :Bachelors degree in special education (required)SEI Endorsement (required)Strong knowledge of IEP and 504 Plan development and implementationExcellent communication collaboration and data-driven decision-making skillsProven ability to apply instructional best practices and manage diverse classroom needsWillingness to grow professionally and incorporate feedback into daily practiceMust pass all applicable MTEL exams within one year of employmentReporting Structure:This is a full-time school-year position reporting to the Head of Special Education.
