Were Hiring: Senior Property Accountant (Onsite Orange County CA)
Full-Time $90000$110000 Bonus Potential Onsite Only
Are you a self-motivated accounting professional with a knack for property management and an eye for detail Were looking for a Senior Property Accountant to take ownership of our real estate accounting operations in Orange County CA.
This is a hands-on independent role ideal for someone comfortable working as a team of one while collaborating with leadership and property managers. Youll handle everything from trust reconciliations to owner reporting with precision and professionalism.
What Youll Do:
- Reconcile trust accounts daily (1000 transactions/month)
- Manage AP/AR rent collection and owner distributions
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for clients
- Handle 1099s and year-end tax prep
- Support onboarding/offboarding of owners and tenants
- Leverage PMS tools (AppFolio Yardi etc.) for listings applications rent increases
- Assist with tenant screening and estate management billing
- Ensure clean organized and compliant financial records
What Were Looking For:
Must-Haves:
- 4 years of accounting experience (real estate/property management preferred)
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance (CPA is a plus)
- Proficient with QuickBooks and PMS platforms (AppFolio Yardi Buildium etc.)
- Highly organized detail-oriented and self-sufficient
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-Haves:
- Knowledge of real estate laws and tenant rights (can be learned on the job)
- A wear-many-hats mindset comfortable in a fast-paced small-team environment
- Friendly professional demeanor with a client-first mentality
