Job Description
You will be responsible for the specification design validation and deployment of automated equipment to test and calibrate devices for Apples new product introduction (NPI) and mass production. Responsibilities will be tuned to match the candidates technical background but you may be encouraged to:- Architect hardware for systems to test and calibrate optical and health sensors. - Model simulate and experimentally verify sources of instrumentation error and determine measurement uncertainty as it relates to the overall needs for the product. - Develop optimize and debug test software in C/C/Objective-C- Collaborate with cross functional teams to specify and implement test coverage- Analyze large amounts of sensor data and use data driven approaches to tackle engineering challenges- Perform failure mode root cause analysis and resolution debugging from the system level down to the component level - Redefine existing algorithms to optimize them for performance or execution time - Balance decisions between engineering asks and manufacturing efficiency while ensuring product quality- Lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers on the team - Work collaboratively with a creative and diverse team of expert engineers from all disciplines including Systems Hardware Product Design Reliability Software and Operations
At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147400 and $272100 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
