The is NOT a remote work position. Requires Acute Care Certification for inpatient.
The APRN or Physician Assistant is responsible for assessing physical and psychosocial status of patients in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting. The APPs will see GI and/or Hepatology patients in an outpatient clinic setting by means of interview health history physical examination and diagnostic studies. This position could require inpatient M-F rotation on the UMH Hepatology inpatient service for the right candidate. For outpatient ambulatory work this would require 7-8 half days in outpatient ambulatory clinics and at Uhealth locations. We have ambulatory practices at UHhealth Towers UMHC Crohns and colitis Center Kendall Lennar Doral Sole Mia Boca Plantation Deerfield sites.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Masters degree in relevant field
Certification and Licensing:
Valid State of Florida Acute Care APRN License
Valid State of Florida Physician Assistant License
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Gastroenterology or Hepatology Practice
Previous training or experience in Acute care setting with GI and/or Hepatology practice as APRN or PA.
Knowledge Skills and Attitudes:
Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to analyze organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ensuring compliance with local state and federal health regulations.
Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles procedures and techniques
Performs in tactful and professional manner.
CITI Certification for Clinical Research Study participation
Previous experience with EPIC EMR software or demonstrated ability to manage patients in EMR
1 year with preferred specific experience seeing Gastroenterology patients in an outpatient setting
