Overview
$1000.00 Sign On Bonus
The Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services diagnostic imaging womens services (digital mammography and bone density studies) neurosciences pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries) and surgery pathology and pulmonary services and sleep disorders. Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centers Radiation Treatment Center and Texas Childrens Hospital.
Responsibilities
Leads the preparation of food for patients staff and visitors of the healthcare facility following safe cooking techniques. Assists in the oversight of staff to ensure that all processes and procedures are being followed. Prepares food for multiple therapeutic diets and complies with state and federal laws and regulations related to food preparation in a healthcare environment. Supports quality control measures such as recipe adherence and food quality consistency.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Champions food quality standards of appearance taste temperature and sanitation.
- Prepares and serves food within guidelines of menu and dietary requirements using required kitchen utensils and equipment such as slicers mixers ovens fryers steamers stove tops and grills etc. Modifies preparations to account for food allergies. .
- Maintains proper labeling of food products and ensures storage of food equipment and machinery per regulations and facility guidelines.
- Performs washing and cleaning duties to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in cooking and serving areas.
- Other duties as assigned by the leader.
Qualifications
Experience Required
Minimum two (2) years of experience in food services or one (1) years of hospital experience preferred
Preferred Education and Experience
Associates Degree ; or two (2) years of equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of the Associates degree.
Licensure Required
FHP ANSI approved or ServSafe: TX
