Supply Chain Manager-Onsite
ONSITE POSITION IN Shelbyville KY

The Job:

The Supply Chain Manager coordinates organizes and oversees all activities involved in the identification acquisition production shop floor movement and shipment of product produced at the facility.

  • Lead the onsite supply chain team (raw materials purchasing inventory management shipping/receiving and raw material warehouse operation).
  • Responsible for running the Global Business Unit and Sales and Operations Planning process
  • Accountable for planning and executing monthly and annual inventory targets and accuracy (RIP/WIP).
  • Manages new product ramp up Phase-outs Promotions and Supply/Demand imbalances.
  • Works across functional boundaries to improve Forecasting Accuracy avoid/minimize E&O rationalize SKU count.
  • Designs the supply chain to achieve optimal performance at the lowest cost of ownership.
  • Designs/improves the necessary processes systems reports KPIs.
  • Prime Supply chain representative for the facility partnering with the corporate support teams.
  • Monitor and support customer service level partnering with support teams as needed.
  • Responsible for 3rd party production service supplier relationships and performance.
  • Ready to participate in ERP transition/implementation: as well as further developing processes. and reports to support todays business needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Manage long term capacity planning process.
  • Key driver and subject matter expert in the overall systems used in the supply chain process (MRP reporting WMS etc).


The Person

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain. positive working relationships with vendors suppliers shippers and customers.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills ability to build and grow teams.
  • Experience working in an Manufacturing/Lean environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience and skill with planning forecasting & execution systems (SAP JDA).
  • Conceptual understanding of planning and ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational teamwork negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • 5 10 years experience with MRP or other supply chain planning system.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelors degree.
  • Advanced degree or certifications a plus.
