DATA/TECHNOLOGY SUPPORTSPECIALIST IJob DescriptionCCSU is seeking a Data/Tech Support Specialist I to perform a variety of technical tasks and dutiesrelating to the installation diagnosis repair and maintenance of classroom and office technology:Including computer and software components and applications. The technician would also performsupport and management tasks for multiple programs including the student information systemassessments and other user programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:o Manages the Technology Helpdesko Supports PCs Macs and Chromebookso Monitors help desk ticket systems and assigns and/or resolves tickets accordinglyo Provides on-site and remote support to multiple schoolso Performs hardware and software evaluationso Installs updates and supports a wide variety of softwareo Maintains district inventory databaseo Assists with the deployment of deviceso Manages data in school programs including student information systems networkaccounts assessment programs and state reporting systemso Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by the Technology Director DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be ableto perform each essential duty satisfactorily in addition to the following:o High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalent Certificate) plus one year ofwork experience in related field; college credit in computer science will be accepted aswork-related experienceo Valid VT Operators License and transportation REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:o Knowledge and experience with the use repair and maintenance of computerhardware software and peripherals relevant to applications used in educationo Ability to analyze and solve technology problems quicklyo Good oral communication written communication and time management skillso Good analytical/problem solving skillso Familiarity with Windows Mac and Google Environmento Good teamwork skillso Good organization skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignmentsimultaneouslyo Ability to read analyze and interpret technical documentation Position Type:Full-time Positions Available:1Job Requirements Citizenship residency or work visa required
