The Missions and Ministry Coordinator supports the academic department of Missions & Ministry by assisting UC faculty staff and students in a broad range of duties coordinating with Campus Ministries and external ministry partners and supervising work-study students. This position contributes to the fulfillment of the mission of the University in offering quality academic programs with Christian values to students of all backgrounds. The successful candidate will demonstrate maturity integrity initiative and a servant-hearted attitude while managing daily operations and facilitating ministry connections.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
This person supports the department by:
- Coordinating with Campus Ministries and local/regional church and parachurch ministries to connect students to ministry missions and practicum opportunities for their academic programs and future vocational preparation as well as ensuring academic standards and student performance are maintained in these partnerships.
- Helping the department establish quality outreach and service to students in our online programs.
- Helping to cultivate a warm welcoming office environment and providing assistance to students with class and student service needs.
- Helping organize events by securing space equipment food announcements and assisting with the event as it occurs.
- Supervise work-study students and approve work schedules.
- Submit purchases and payment requests through Workday; submit maintenance and technology requests; submit desk copy requests to the publisher.
- Maintain office supplies and visual appeal of office and hallway spaces.
- Update bulletin boards and Bright Sign.
- Assist department chair with assessment and reporting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the department chair.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word Excel OneDrive) email internet and internal university platforms (e.g. Workday).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational problem-solving and multitasking skills.
- Initiative reliability and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
- Born-again Christian with a heart for ministry.
