Job Description:Thermo Fishers mRNA unit in Monza is looking for a Project Manager role! The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project management the ability to work in a dynamic and demanding environment and the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver all stages of program within a matrix organization on budget and time. Specifically this includes the introduction of new products into the facilities process development scale-up analytical method development and qualification equipment purchase and qualification and preparation for non-GMP and GMP activities.
  • Resolve project team issues and facilitate decision making within the team. Drive progress to completion to the required standard.
  • Hold regular meetings and correspondence with the leadership team technical team and customer team. Maintain focus on clients requirements and the interests of the company.
  • Identify potential project risks with the team and develop mitigation strategies report progress blocking issues and risks to all team members. Know when to advance issues to senior leadership for resolution.
  • Generate key documentation including Technology Transfer Master Plan/Scope Change Control Request Project Risk Assessment Project Timeline and Action Item lists.
  • Demonstrate role model leadership in the execution of PM standard work and customer centric behavior.
  • Track and handle the financial aspects of the project including achievement payments pass through costs and FTE estimates to ensure that we are punctual and on budget. Guide project team through appropriate decision-making process prior to change order being initiated.
  • Collaborate with Business Management to identify new business opportunities and meet with clients discussing new products or project updates.
  • Contribute to the optimization of the production process with continuous efforts to increase project savings on the technical side while maintaining compliance with cGMP and company procedures.
  • Help the Commercial Quotes Group assess technical costs for new job orders by providing material details production schedule processes and supply costs that align with company interests

GMP & Health & Safety:

  • Ensure cGMP is applied in the work area and follows cGMP in all areas of the business.
  • Understand and apply as needed emergency procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Follow all EH&S requirements.
  • Observe safety behavior in the working environment.

Education:

  • Completion of a Bachelors Degree or its equivalent (depending on the country) in a scientific/pharmaceutical area (FCT Pharmacy Chemistry Biotechnology) or in engineering.

Technical Skills:

  • Pharmaceutical techniques
  • Pharmaceutical production
  • Advanced client service/project management experience

Professional Experience:

  • Typically requires 5 years of previous related experience and a general knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Proven experience.
  • Equivalent combinations of education training and meaningful work experience may be considered.

Languages:

  • English local languages: Advanced written and oral communication skills

Personality Traits:

  • Advanced organizational and project management experience and skills.
  • Advanced negotiation & presentation skills.
  • Commercial business orientation/financial skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with detail orientation.
  • Strong ability to work and guide a team as well as independently.

Desirable:

  • PMP certification is an asset
