Job Description
We are looking for an experienced BI Tester with strong exposure to Azure Data Services to support data validation ETL testing and reporting quality assurance for business intelligence platforms. The candidate must have hands-on experience in validating data pipelines performing backend testing and ensuring reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ETL and BI testing across various data pipelines and reporting layers
- Validate data migration transformation logic and reporting outputs
- Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data integrity across source and target systems
- Collaborate with Data Engineers BI Developers and business stakeholders to define and execute test scenarios
- Conduct regression functional integration and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Maintain test cases defect logs and test summary reports in test management tools
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups sprint planning retrospectives)
Required Skills:
- Overall IT Experience: 7 Years
- 5 years of experience in BI/Data Testing roles
- Strong expertise in SQL and experience testing data pipelines ETL workflows
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (e.g. Azure Data Factory ADLS Synapse)
- Understanding of data models data marts and reporting structures
- Familiarity with Power BI SSRS or Tableau for report validation
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. JIRA Azure DevOps TestRail)
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Azure Databricks Python or data quality frameworks
- Exposure to automation tools like Selenium Postman or custom Python test frameworks
- Domain knowledge in healthcare retail or finance is a plus
