Job Description
Note: Experience in ISA-95 also known as ANSI/ISA-95 or IEC 62264 is an international standard focused on integrating enterprise and control systems in manufacturing is ideal.
Job Summary: We are seeking a Data Governance Lead to support its enterprise AI and machine learning initiatives by establishing scalable data governance this role you will help ensure the data used in AI/ML applications-ranging from predictive maintenance to smart manufacturing and supply chain optimization-is high quality secure ethically managed and compliant with corporate and regulatory standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including AI/ML engineering enterprise data platforms data privacy compliance and business units across global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Governance Frameworks & Policy Implementation
- Develop and operationalize data governance frameworks aligned with Jabils enterprise data strategy and AI initiatives.
- Establish clear standards for data quality metadata classification lineage and lifecycle management specific to AI/ML data pipelines.
Industrial & Operational Data Stewardship
- Serve as the data steward for high-value datasets including machine sensor data (IoT) supply chain events production KPIs and customer analytics.
- Ensure contextual understanding and accurate documentation of datasets used for AI model development.
Compliance & Security Oversight
- Ensure that AI training and inference data complies with data privacy ITAR cybersecurity and customer-specific requirements.
- Lead efforts to mask or anonymize PII or sensitive operational data used in global AI solutions.
AI/ML Lifecycle Collaboration
- Partner with data scientists and ML engineers to embed governance into the model lifecycle (training testing deployment).
- Support initiatives to enhance AI model transparency auditability and explainability.
Metadata Management & Cataloging
- Implement metadata and data catalog solutions (e.g. Azure Purview Collibra) to support AI/ML discoverability and trust.
- Track data lineage and transformations across global data platforms.
Monitoring Auditing & Change Management
- Establish data usage monitoring versioning and audit trails for AI data pipelines.
- Support internal and external audits related to AI/ML data governance and responsible data use.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of experience in data governance data quality or data management roles.
- Prior experience working with or supporting AI/ML data teams.
- Knowledge of AI use cases in manufacturing: predictive maintenance demand forecasting yield optimization anomaly detection etc.
- Familiarity with data governance in manufacturing supply chain or industrial IoT environments.
- Understanding of enterprise data platforms(e.g. Azure Data Lake Snowflake Databricks).
- Experience with data catalog and governance tools (e.g. Azure Purview Collibra Alation).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements including ITAR GDPR CCPA or SOC 2.
- Certification in data governance frameworks (e.g. DCAM CDMP) preferred
