Were looking for a QC Lab Technician I to join our Quality Control team at our activated carbon facility in Coushatta LA. If youre detail-oriented safety-minded and eager to grow your skills in a hands-on manufacturing setting this could be the opportunity for you.
Collect in-process samples from key production equipment across the plant
Deliver samples to lab analysts for testing
Perform basic quality checks (like moisture testing and visual inspections)
Work closely with our QC and Operations teams to ensure quality standards are met
Navigate platforms stairs and indoor/outdoor production areas

High school diploma or GED required
Experience in manufacturing QC or industrial environments is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs climb stairs/ladders and work in various environmental conditions
Must pass a post-offer physical assessment
Rotating 12-hour shifts (including nights weekends and holidays)
Exposure to heat cold precipitation noise and dust
Strict PPE and safety protocol adherence required

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is preferred. Experience with Quality Control procedures is a plus.
The QC Lab Technician I must be able to meet the following physical requirements as part of a post-offer physical evaluation:
Climbing: Ability to climb stairs and ladders multiple stories high throughout a 12-hour shift.
Walking/Standing: Capable of prolonged walking and standing during the shift.
Weather Tolerance: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions including:
Summer: High heat and humidity
Winter: Cold temperatures
Other conditions: Rain wind and other precipitation
Lifting and Carrying: Lift and carry samples tools and other equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Balance and Dexterity: Maintain balance on platforms narrow or confined spaces and stairs at height.
Hand and Arm Use: Use hands and arms to handle grasp or maneuver tools and equipment.
Kneeling and Crouching: Ability to kneel crouch or stoop as required for accessing sampling stations or performing routine maintenance on equipment.
Vision and Hearing: Maintain sufficient vision and hearing to identify visual and audible safety indicators and communicate effectively.
Endurance: Maintain physical stamina to work 12-hour shifts which may involve continuous activity.
Working Conditions:
Variable Schedule: Must be able to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule including nights weekends and holidays.
Outdoor Work: Will be exposed to outdoor elements and must tolerate varying weather conditions.
Noise and Dust: Work environment may involve exposure to dust and high noise levels requiring PPE use.
Safety and Compliance:
The QC Technician I must strictly adhere to safety protocols including but not limited to:
Wearing all necessary PPE such as hard hats safety glasses gloves respirators ear protection and appropriate workwear.
Following all safety procedures when climbing and navigating around equipment.
Participating in regular safety training and drills.
Note: This position requires successful completion of a post-offer physical to demonstrate capability to meet physical and environmental requirements.
